EVANGELOS (ANGELOS) ANTONIOU
1947 – 2018

Well-known businessman from Volos, founder of TRT channel and Radio Station VERA.
He started in 1989, pioneering for its time in the field of information, founded and operated the first Panthessalian television channel and a little later the radio station.
For at least 25 years, the channel TRT played under his ownership a key role in the television events of Thessalia.

The statue of Angelos Antoniou is placed in the shopping center OLD CITY of Volos.
