Busts

Construction of marble sculptures of busts, with the natural study of the model.

The bust is the sculptural representation of a man from the chest and above. Usually a bust depicts the head, the neck, a part of the chest and the shoulders. The sculpture is usually supported at its base by a pedestal. Many materials can be used by the artist to create a bust, although we find more often busts of marble or brass because they are sufficiently durable materials.
